
SONIA YORK-PRYCE Sculptor Silversmith Printmaker Dancer
Biography
Sonia York-Pryce is currently in the final year of her Bachelor of Visual Arts Degree at Southern Cross University, Lismore NSW majoring in 3D Bronze.
Sonia has recently participated in several group shows including The Members Show at The Sculptor’s Society, Gold Coast Qld, DPE- Dance Photography Exhibition at the Judith Wright Centre, Brisbane Qld and the Small Works 2010 at the Brunswick Street Gallery, Melbourne Victoria.
Her close relationship with Ballet & Contemporary Dance has drifted into her arts practice which she uses in her photography, short films, printmaking, silver-smithing and now Bronze. She studied ballet and contemporary dance extensively in the UK and had anticipated her future to continue in that vain but since migrating to Australia in 1994, life has progressed in other ways.
Sonia lives on the Gold Coast and works at Anthea Polson Art Gallery.
